Peter (Pete) Baroody, a native to the Northern Virginia area, founded Baroody Camps, Inc. in 2003 with a mission of developing programs that would allow children to experience everything from academics and athletics to imagination and creativity. Pete taught Physical Education at Saint Mary’s School and Blessed Sacrament School in Alexandria, and was formerly the Athletic Director at Alexandria Country Day School and taught Physical Education to kindergarteners through eighth graders.
In 2007, Pete incorporated and began seeking new schools to house his camp programs. Baroody Camps, Inc. serves hundreds of families through their summer camp, enrichment programs and school-year day camps in more than 75 schools within several counties, including Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Loudoun, and Prince William. In January of 2022, the family grew. Baroody Camps, Inc. partnered and acquired the ongoing programs of Enrichment Matters.
